I received a copy of "Doc McStuffins: Time for Your Checkup" to review. The boys and I watched the video yesterday. My boys are 11 and 3; however, both are developmentally much younger than their chronological age. My oldest was very engaged in the video. My youngest, not so much; however he is a very active child and does not like to sit still for very long!
Neither of my boys like going to the doctor. They have both been to so many doctor's in their lifetime that once they see where they are going we generally start having issues before we even walk in the door! I am hopeful that by watching this a few times, my kids see how the stuffed animals/toys are treated by Doc, and be a little bit more comfortable at the doctor. With their Autism social stories are good and what better social story than a video?
I enjoyed the video, although the tune that they sang in each episode started to get a little annoying after watching the video straight through.
